Although swimming is no longer allowed in either of the 2 lakes which was created by William Glover and opened in 1927, lovely tranquil Wildwood Lakes originally included a fishing lake and a swimming lake resort which, for years, drew people from many miles around to enjoy a whole day of entertainment.
Welcome to Wildwood Lake, a picturesque community of beautiful homes built in the late 1960’s and 70’s nestled among two gorgeous lakes that are best known for their great fishing and scenic beauty! The Wildwood Lake Homeowners Association is comprised of the lakes surrounding homes as well as homes in nearby adjacent neighborhoods. This hidden treasure in Raytown, Mo, is a beautiful development which attracts families that enjoy lakeside living and a vibrant sense of community.
Kick back, set a spell…and enjoy the view!

For 30 years this lake resort often drew as many as 3,000 people a day purchasing tickets for swimming, picnicking and dancing. At times, cars would be backed up from the entrance of the park to a mile’s walk down the dirt road.
Today, Wildwood Lakes continues to attract families seeking to purchase a home to this lovely area. Wildwood Lakes is now a private lake which is owned by the Wildwood Lakes Homeowners Association.
