WHAT’S HAPPENING SO FAR IN 2020:
The Board met in December to make a list of projects and tasks for the 2020 calendar year, again in January to review the budget and set the calendar for all-member events, and again in February to start assigning tasks and getting to work.
Current Priority – Dam Face:
The priority project for the year is obviously the dam face, spillway and any lake issues. Here’s the status:
Rob has contacted 9 companies to seek bids for the repair of the dam face. The bid we already have on the table is for $82K, so we will ensure that we explore every option to best steward our funds while still identifying a long- term fix. The goal is to have the dam face repaired by the end of summer.
WHAT’S CURRENTLY IN THE WORKS:
- Completing our 2019 taxes
- Get new quotes for Lawn Care – this was our #1 recurring expense last year, in order to save as much money as we can toward the dam face some of the common areas will be mowed by board members while we get new quotes for the east side of the lake.
- Creating a member email distribution list – thank you for returning the forms we sent out!
- Website upgrade – make it more interactive and find a cheaper web- hosting solution
- Getting an “upcoming events” sign made and installed at the entrance
- Having new “no trespassing” signs made with HOA contact info
- Reviewing historical documents – ensuring we preserve/organize our history, perhaps put more information up on our website. Want to help?
